Hey Peaches,
I'm also 25 years old and about a year ago I weighed 240lbs and lost 85lbs.
I know what it's like to be desperate to lose weight fast, but trust me when I say you need to take your time.
You need to find what works best for you. If you chose an exercise program that you despise, I guarantee that you will not stick to it.
What I did:
I consulted my doctor. She helped set me up with some weight loss tips and resources within my community.
We found that I have PCOS, which is an Ovarian cyst condition that affects many women. (I'm not saying that you're affected by it, but you never know.)
I joined boxing. I did 3 nights a week for 1.5 hours a session. I then started walking more often and gradually started running.
I cut sugary foods out and drank more water. I ultimately decided that if a drink had calories in it I wasn't going to drink it (please don't replace calorie dense drinks with diet pop, it's addictive and worse for you than sugar)
I chewed gum more often... I found that it helped me suppress my appetite and kept my mind off of eating soo much.
Cardio is your friend, your very best friend:
When I was able to add cardio into my workouts the pounds came flying off! I know it's boring and grueling, but seriously it works.
Best of luck, don't give up!
