Don't let what other ppl say hurt you! Trust me it's not worth it, all it does is lead to depression and more weight gain. Listen, it takes time to loose weight, most of the mistakes girls/women make is skipping meals, like breakfast for example. NEVER skip breakfast! They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that's because it is! Breakfast jump starts your metabolism so that you will have energy throughout the day to burn calories, drink lots of water, especially before you eat (this will help you eat less and feel fuller faster), control your portions, eat protein rich foods, instead of 3 big meals a day, eat 5 small ones. Get rid of that soda! Even the diet soda has tons of sugar that packs into your junk pile. Don't ban sweets completely, believe me, doing so will only make you want it more and you will go overboard with the cravings, instead have one or two bite sized bars if you'd like, but that's it! And not for everyday, maybe once a week or two. The best workouts to make that fat melt right off is CARDIO! And lots of it, not just excercising and lifting weights (lifting weights is great for muscle building though) but do some jogging, do some crazy dancing to your favorite songs, jump rope, ANYTHING that gets you moving! Remember, it takes time to loose weight so please be patient, if it's been a week and you've only lost 1/2 pound? Then woohoo! It's progress! Keep it up, don't loose hope, have faith in yourself and remember, God loves you! Good luck!
